Tusk sees emerging European consensus to tackle migration problem


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS March 4 (KUNA) -- The President of the European Council Donald Tusk Friday said that "for the first time since the beginning of the migration crisis I can see a European consensus emerging."It is a consensus around a comprehensive strategy that if loyally implemented can help stem the flows and tackle the crisis" he said in his invitation letter to EU leaders for the summit with Turkey in Brussels on Monday."On Monday I would like us together with Prime Minister Davutoglu to discuss our cooperation on migration and beyond and endorse the concrete steps to implement our action plan" he noted.Tusk said that after the EU-Turkey summit on Monday the 28 leaders of the EU will hold their own separate summit in order to agree a joint statement on getting back to Schengen and on the humanitarian dimension to the migration problem.
