Exxon Mobil to trim its investments in 2016


(MENAFN) Exxon Mobil, the American multinational oil/Gas Corporation, is looking into regulating its investment program even after it outlined spending schemes for the year at 25pct below 2015 levels.

The Texas-based Supermajor is preparing to initiate operations at 10 new developments throughout the following year that will add another 450,000 barrels of oil equivalents per day to its portfolio.

Without offering details on 2016, a firm's official stated that the firm has been able to surge its dividends for 33 years in a row through 2015, with an average growth of 10 percent over the last 10 years.

Furthermore, the world's 8th largest company by revenue issued last month its October-December period's earnings of USD2.8bn, down from the USD6.6bn in 2014's corresponding timeframe.
