UAE- FEAW inaugurates Shaml power station in RAK

RAS AL-KHAIMAH 3rd March 2016 (WAM) -- The Federal Electricity and Water Authority FEWA has inaugurated the 75 Mega Volt Ampere and 33/11 Kilovolt high-power station in Shaml in the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah.

Mohammed Mohammed Saleh the Director-General of FEWA said that the AED 33.9 million station would serve future housing projects in the area and reduce heavy load on other power generating facilities.

''The new station is one of nine other power plants currently under commissioning in the emirate to serve development of infrastructure and meet growing demand for electricity supply as results of massive urban expansions'' he added.
