Hyundai, KIA bid on Europe's resilient market


(MENAFN) In a bold move to reinforce their presence in what is deemed to be one of just a few rising markets this year, Hyundai and KIA, S. Korea's two key carmakers, are revealing top sport vehicle models at a motor show in Geneva.

In accordance, the two giants have put their latest versions of the Tucson and the Sportage on display, as they are eyeing the gradually growing market there, which is regarded as one of just a few bright spots along with the United States.

The Hyundai Tucson crossover SUV, which is one of its chief lineups in Europe, saw its monthly sales hit 11,708 units in Jan, an all-time high since its launch last July, KIA also launched the sale of the new Sportage in Feb in major EU markets.

Meanwhile, top experts state that the European economy is likely to keep reviving this year, and so in line with these optimistic projections, demand for new automobiles is also forecasted to increase for the time being.
