Doha Hosts MEEA Conference


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Doha Institute of Higher Studies will host the Middle East Economic Association (MEEA) 15th International Annual Conference from March 23 to 25, 2016.

The event will be discussing the impact of oil shocks on economic growth in the MENA region, the way economic development reacts to oil prices under different market conditions, the current and future states of the oil shale industry, the impact of oil price drops on MENA's financial markets and exchange rates, to name a few.

Around 200 participants from Qatar and outside, in addition to graduate students from across the world are expected to take part in the conference. Scholars, academics, experts and students of Middle East economics are taking part at the conference.

The Scientific Committee has approved 112 abstracts to research papers from several countries around the world.
