2 pct of people in Kuwait visit psychology hospital


(MENAFN- Arab Times) About 2 percent of the people living in Kuwait, which is about 82,915 citizens and expatriates, visit the Psychology Medicine Hospital, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to official statistics, 73,643 of these visitors are Kuwaiti citizens and 88.8 percent of them have files in the hospital, while 9,272 visitors to the hospital are expatriates.

In other words, 5.6 percent of the Kuwaiti citizens and 0.4 percent of expatriates have files in the Psychology Medicine Hospital. A source said the fact that many of such people hold driving licenses is scary.

However, there are different degrees of psychiatric diseases due to which it is not easy to categorize them. Moreover, the file of a patient of Psychology Medicine Hospital is considered as a confidential matter.
