Oman- Yaseen Le Falher wins 43rd Muscat Open Golf title

Bahrain's 15 year old teenager Yaseen Le Falher claimed the top honours at the 2016 Muscat Open Golf Championship which concluded at the Ras al Hamra Golf Club (RAHGC) on Saturday.

Yaseen was one of 16 overseas players who took part in the 43rd edition of Oman's longest running open golf championship.

After two days of competition Royal Bahrain Golf Club's Yaseen birdied the final hole to win with a total of 152 strokes.

Opening-day leader and a former winner Ian Morrison finished two strokes behind while Tenzin Tsarong from Ghala Golf Club claimed the third position with 155 edging out Jeff Campbell on countback.

Yaseen said 'I'm very happy to win the Muscat Open for the first time that I have played in the competition. I hope to get the opportunity to come back and defend my title next year.'

Other individual winners: Men: Nett: 1 Alao Hakeem (141) 2 Brett Merrel (141) 3 Per Sjostrand (155).

Juniors: Best gross: 1 Fahad al Kitani (167); best nett: Rashad al Harthy (157). Men: Best gross (day one): Azaan al Rumhy (75); day two: Ali Musbah (73); best nett (day one): Julian Chong (68); day two: Mohammed Noor (70).
