Qatar- Fans get rare chance to interact with Marquez
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) MotoGP fans and motorcycle enthusiasts were given a rare, exciting treat yesterday when Domasco, the exclusive distributor for Honda in Qatar, organised a meet and greet session with two-time world champion Marc Marquez at their showroom.
The Honda Repsol rider was, predictably, the cynosure of attention as everyone clamoured for a selfie and an autograph or both. Marquez patiently signed autographs and posed for pictures, indulging the thrilled fans present there.
Commenting on this event, Domasco managing director Faisal Sharif said, "At Domasco we pursue to create enjoyable and memorable experiences for our customers and this special event that occurs annually captures that.''
Honda's Sales & Marketing head Greig Roffey said, "We are overjoyed with the huge turnout this evening for Honda local community. Our special guests have received a very warm welcome from the broad masses of fans in Qatar.''
Expressing his happiness, a MotoGP fan who attended the event, said: "I am thrilled to take part in this exciting evening. On behalf of my bike enthusiasts' friends, I would like to thank Domasco for giving us every year, the chance to meet the top Honda riders."
Marquez first made his mark by becoming the youngest rider in history to win a MotoGP race. He then went ahead and did one better when he became the world's youngest ever MotoGP champion in 2013 and went on to win again in 2014.
The 23-year-old is in Doha for the
final round of testing at the Losail Circuit before the new season kicks off on March 17 in Qatar.
