UAE- WRC Advisory Board meets to discuss future of retail in MENA Region

DUBAI 2nd March 2016 (WAM) -- The Advisory Board for the 10th World Retail Congress WRC has met to discuss preparations for WRC Dubai and the opportunities and challenges associated with the emirate's dynamic retail sector. The board also looked at the future of retail in the MENA region from innovative new payment and delivery methods in line with the rise of e-commerce across the Middle East to the impact of the global economy on local retailers.

WRC's 2016 Advisory Board is made up of experts across the retail sector including Paul Delaoutre PresidentRetail Al Futtaim Group Majid Al Shamsi Chairman Union Coop Alain Bejjani CEO Majid Al Futtaim Khalid Al Tayer CEO Al Tayer Group Patrick Chalhoub Joint CEO Chalhoub Group Nilesh Ved Founder Apparel Group Muwaffaq Jamal CEO Azizia Panda Mohi-Din Binhendi Chairman Binhendi Enterprises Simon Marshall CEORetail Fawaz Alhokair Group Renuka Jagtiani Vice Chairperson Landmark Group and Mohammed Al Fahim CEO Paris Galleries Group.

Several members of the Advisory Board will be joining the speaker line-up at the congress including Alain Bejjani who will deliver a keynote address on reinventing the retail experience Patrick Chalhoub who will discuss the future of luxury and Renuka Jagtiani who will look at the ways retail businesses are transforming in order to thrive in the wake of constant change.

The WRC is being held in Dubai for the first time in partnership with Majid Al Futtaim and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 12th-14th April at Madinat Jumeirah under the Patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
