Gazprom's gas yield hits 1.47bn cubic feet in 2015


(MENAFN) Gazprom, the Russian behemoth that extracts, produces, transports and sells natural gas, registered a total of 1.47 billion cubic feet for full-year gas production last year.

In accordance, the registered output was less than in 2014 although was enough to satisfy in full reliable and stable supplies for export markets and for country's own needs.

The Moscow-based giant meets about a quarter of the gas needs for Europe, with Germany emerging as the lead consumer, amid demand growing more than 40pct from the start of 2015.

In the meantime, the firm has set an ambitious goal to add more strategic infrastructure to its twin Nord Stream natural gas line running through the Baltic Sea to Germany.
