Qatar- US Defense Secretary: Military Operations Against ISIS Accelerate
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Washington March 01 (QNA) - US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said that the military operations carried out by his country in the framework of the international coalition against al ISIS in Syria and Iraq has accelerated in recent days which saw the start of a truce between the warring Syrian parties.
At a press conference in Washington Carter said that the cease-fire in Syria which came into force on Saturday does not include military operations against ISIS adding that his country is continuing to prosecute the organization until its defeat.
The operations against ISIS in Libya may continue in the region and this may require a longer time Carter said. (QNA)
