Kuwait- New three by three basketball tourney kicks off next Friday

KUWAIT March 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Basketball Association announced on Tuesday it would introduce for the first time ever a one-day (3X3) tournament in basketball next Friday.
The idea behind the establishment of the tournament was based on recommendations by the Asian and international basketball federations Deputy President of the Kuwait Basketball Association Khalil Ibrahim Taher told KUNA.
He added that such a tournament has become recognized in the continent and worldwide.
Taher pointed out that the association will select players representing their clubs and national teams in the tournament and will be part of 10 teams with taking into consideration overall points at season end.
The 10 teams will be divided into two groups; the first will include Jahra Sulaibikhat Yarmuk Kazma and Al-Nasr whereas the second group would include Al-Tadamun Al-Arabi Al-Qadsia Al-Shabab and Kuwait.
The official added that the one-day tournament will play each game for 10 minutes on a half court.
