Jeddah Economic Forum opens today

JEDDAH 1st March 2016 (WAM)-- The Jeddah Economic Forum 2016 (JEF) will kick off today in Jeddah with participation of more than 80 high-profile Saudi and international economic experts and business leaders .

The three-day event is held under the theme of "Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs): Collaboration for Impact." The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) the main organiser of the forum said that preparations have been completed to make the annual event a resounding success.

The forum will further strengthen the Kingdom's position on the global economic map.

Delegations from more than 40 countries will take part in the event which coincides with the National Transformation Programme initiated by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs.

It will be a platform for the Ministry of Economy and Planning to present their privatisation strategy and showcase opportunities in the housing transport energy water desalination aviation health and education sectors.
