Kuwait's exports to Japan jump 4.4 percent in Jan


(MENAFN) Kuwait's crude oil exports to Japan increased 4.4 percent in Jan from a year earlier to 8.26mn barrels, or 266,000 barrels per day (bpd).

Moreover, Kuwait supplied 7.8 percent of the Asian country's whole crude imports, according to the Japanese Natural Resources and Energy Agency.

However, Japan's total imports of crude oil dropped 2.5 percent yearly to 3.40mn bpd for the second month of fall, while shipments from the Middle East valued 87.1 Pct.

KSA remained Japan's No.1 oil supplier, with imports from the Kingdom surging 24.8 percent from a year earlier to 1.32mn bpd, trailed by the UAE with 854,000 bpd.
