Kuwait- Newly appointed Minister and MP take oath before parliament


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT March 1 (KUNA) -- Newly-appointed Minister of Electricity and Water Ahmad Khaled Ahmad Al-Jassar took the constitutional oath before the National Assembly in its ordinary session on Tuesday in accordance with article 91 of the Kuwaiti Constitution.Recently elected MP Ali Al-Khamees took the constitutional oath after winning the only seat in the 3rd constituency's by-election that became vacant with the death of late MP Nabil Al-Fadhl.The parliament elected Al-Khamees to replace the deceased MP Nabil Al-Fadhel in different committees including the legislative and legal affairs committee as well as others concerned with public utilities youth and sport.According to article 91 of the Kuwaiti Constitution before assuming duties in the Assembly or in its committees member of the National Assembly shall take the following oath before the Assembly: "I swear by Almighty God to be faithful to the Country and to the Amir to respect the Constitution and the laws of the State to defend the liberties interests and properties of the people and to discharge my duties honestly and truthfully".(end) rkf.tb.haq
