Scouting movement in Kuwait promotes peace friendship- Edu. Min.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT March 1 (KUNA) -- The scouting movement in Kuwait always promoted friendship and peace since its inception said Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Bader Al-Issa Tuesday.Speaking to the press after the opening of the eighth conference for the Arab Scouting Federation Dr. Al-Issa said that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's patronage of the event reflected the strong desire on part of Kuwait to further contribute to the Arab scouting movement.The scouting movement is an extension of its educational counterpart said the minister affirming that it taught young individuals all about honor dignity and the values of helping others under all circumstances.The Kuwaiti minister welcomed the delegations partaking in the conference and hoped that the event would contribute to the development of the scouting movement in the Arab world.On his part head of the Arab Scouting Federation Mohammad Al-Jraiya thanked the Kuwaiti leadership for its generous patronage of the conference and took the chance to congratulate Kuwait on the advent of its national celebrations.He called on the heads of the Arab delegations to work together to come out with resolutions that would be beneficial for the scouting movement in the region.Al-Jraiya also welcomed the recent addition of the UAE and Qatar in the membership of the organization affirming that more countries are welcomed to join.The chief topic of this event will be the establishment of an online magazine that would highlight scouting activities in the Arab world said the official.Meanwhile head of the Kuwaiti Scouting Federation Mohammad Al-Dubiyan lauded during his speech the tremendous efforts played by the Arab federation affirming that it played a major role in coordinating efforts to boost relations amongst members.The official also hoped that the conference would come out with resolutions in favor of developing the scouting movement in the region.
