China logs 21.6pct jump in startup firms over 2015

(MENAFN) China has seen a robust progress and solid expansion in many crucial sectors regardless to the current economic slowdown which has burdened it.

The 2nd largest economy witnessed a record startup boom last year as a total of 4.44 million companies were established, a 21.6 percent climb from a year ago.

The positive figures came after government efforts to encourage people to open their own businesses, including easier market entry, less red tape and tax breaks.

The Asian nation has been growing policy support for new businesses, especially in their starting period, and it plans to set up more innovation incubators.
