UAE- NMC supports children reading competition

ABU DHABI 29th February 2016 (WAM) -- The National Media Council NMC has announced its support for the 'Reading Challenge' contest organised by Healthpoint Hospital a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company Mubadala.

This move comes within the framework of NMC's efforts to contribute in making reading an active practice in life and a permanent societal norm in implementation of the initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who declared 2016 the 'Year of Reading'.

The competition seeks to encourage the young generation to read via a reading competition for children aged between 7 and 12.

The NMC has supplied a range of children's books in support of the competition.
