Kuwait determined to defend Arab concerns at UN meeting


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GENEVA Feb 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is determined to defend the issues and concerns of the Arab states before the UN said Kuwait's permanent delegate to the UN and international organizations at the meeting of the UN Human Rights Council.The current session will discuss main Arab issues including the Israeli violations of human rights in Palestine the worsening humanitarian conditions in Syria and the situation in Yemen the delegate Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim told KUNA on Monday.Meanwhile he noted that the council will also discuss the spread of terrorism in the Arab World represented by the so-called Islamic State (IS).The Arab Group chaired by Kuwait will present concerns over fighting the growing extremism in the region during the meeting held from February 29 to March 24 he added.(end) ta.ag
