Bahrain aims USD 1bn to increase its GDP


(MENAFN) An increase in visitor numbers will boost Bahrain's GDP, while an improved emphasis placed on tourism as key economic driver with 3,000 hotel rooms.

Moreover, the country returns to ATM to showcase its increasing hotel and tourism infrastructure which will contribute USD 1bn by the end of decade.

Additionally, the increase in rooms is set against a backdrop of occupancy levels above 52 percent and average rates are in line with similar market movement.

The nation's tourism sector was predicted to increase more in 2015, after continued gains in the 2014 visitor numbers of 10mn, an 11 Percent grow.
