In an effort to promote peace in an increasingly volatile world Dubai-based Pakistani expat has created an ornate 20-foot long pentacycle.

The five-wheeled vehicle - created by Lahore-born clothing salesman Hafiz Mohammed Sajjad Khan - is adorned with the colours of the UAE flag as well as a pair of hands with the message "world peace is possible" a "Happy Dubai" sticker and a variety of messages such as "peace begins with a smile" "there is no way to peace - peace is the way" and "true Islam never harms anyone. Please distinguish true from false."

"The UAE's flag is used to express our love for the United Arab Emirates" he noted.

Adorned with messages of peace

Speaking to Khaleej Times Khan said he created the pentacycle to do his part to spread peace and goodwill around the world.

"There are many countries where there is no peace. I also wanted to show my creativity and my art but that is the main issue" he said. "Every single day we need to do what we can to promote peace."

And it works said Khan. Every time I ride it people come and take pictures and then they share the message of peace around the world through Facebook and other social media" he added.

Khan explained that making and moving the contraption was complicated and expensive.

"I spent about Dh12000 to make it" he said. "It's very large so I had to ship it over in three parts and then re-assemble it here."

Khan - who has lived in the UAE for one year - is well-known in his native Pakistan for promoting his message of peace.

In early 2014 for example he designed an even bigger 48-feet long pentacycle adorned with images of Pakistan founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah; prime minister Nawaz Sharif army chief of staff General Raheel Sharif and other notable Pakistanis as well as messages of peace and quotes about the importance of education.

He rode the pentacycle for 381 kilometres over 52 hours from Islamabad to Lahore.
