Kuwait- Adoption of clean energy, a must for brighter future
(MENAFN- Arab Times) IN recent years, supporters of clean energy have taken heart in the falling prices of Biofuels, solar and wind power, hoping that will drive an energy revolution.
Technologydriven ambitions and the increasing awareness of the environmental issues around the globe have encouraged governments to adopt some of the cleaner energy ideas such as the Clean Fuel project in Kuwait, which started the production of 42,000 barrels per day of Biofuel launching a new phase in the regions energy sector just a few days back. Kuwait has been globally recognized to be a major oil producer for the past 60 years, today with the exports of Biofuels it sets itself as the pioneer of clean fuels in the Middle East with the first production plant in the region located at Mina Abdullah.
The energy demand around the world is shifting towards a more sustainable source with less harmful emissions and pollutants to help keep our planets environment preserved for as long as possible in the best manner. The adoption of the Clean Fuel project in Kuwait has a positive economic impact as well as the environmental advantages to the local economy, where being the first country to introduce the technology in the GCC and Middle East on a large production scale increases the nation's exports and revenues by opening up new markets for these products to access and adds an aspiring new industry to develop that would benefit our future generations.
