Syrian opposition attacks PYD terror group in Aleppo


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) >The Syrian opposition attacked the PYD terrorist group in the northern province of Aleppo on Friday according to local sources.

The sources which are based in Azaz city told Anadolu Agency that fighters of the Sultan Murad Turkmen group launched an attack on the PYD-controlled Ayn Daqna town south of Azazcity and killed an unidentified number of terrorists.

Mohamed Ramadan an activist in Aleppo said Russian warplanes struck the opposition-held towns of Hayyan and Anadan in addition to Babis village using cluster bombs late on Thursday.

At least five people were killed in Babis while no casualties were reported in the other two towns.

Meanwhile 11 people were killed after Russian warplanes and Syrian regime helicopters attacked Kaptan al-Jabal town and the Kafr Hamra area in northern Aleppo Syrian Civil Defense officials told Anadolu Agency.

The Nour al-Din al-Zenki opposition group said in a statement that Assad regime forces and the PYD terrorist group jointly attacked Kaptan al-Jabal town and the Sheikh Akil village.

Syria has remained locked in a vicious civil war since early 2011 when the Assad regime cracked down on pro-democracy protests with unexpected ferocity.

Since then more than 250000 people have been killed and more than 10 million displaced according to figures released by the UN.
