Qatar- Ouaddar guides Quickly De Kreisker to big win


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Moroccan rider Abdelkebir Ouaddar clears an obstacle with his ride Quickly De Kreisker on day one of the Emir’s Sword Meet at Qatar Equestrian Federation’s Outdoor Arena in Doha yesterday. Today’s action starts at 1:30pm.



DOHA: Experienced Moroccan rider Abdelkebir Ouaddar yesterday guided Quickly De Kreisker to a spectacular win in the feature race on day one of the Emir’s Sword Meet at Qatar Equestrian Federation’s (QEF) Outdoor Arena.

Quickly De Kreisker clocked a time of 65.95 seconds as Ouaddar won the top prize of QR 76800 against a very strong field.

In second place was popular Portuguese rider Luciana Diniz astride Fit For Fun 13 who clocked a time of 67.18 seconds in against the clock 150cm class.

Diniz picked up QR 61440 for her efforts.

Turkey’s Derin Demirsoy and his ride Harry K finished in respectable third spot. Harry K produced a neat routine as he clocked a time of 68.00 seconds.

Demirsoy won QR 46080.

Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Alsharbatly (Roso Au Crosnier) and France’s Frederic David (Ecuador Van’T Roosakker) completed the top five riders in the feature event.

Alsharbatly picked up QR 30720 while David got richer by QR 21504.

Qatari duo of Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al Thani (Vienna Olympic) and Faleh Suwead Al Ajami (Come Soon) finished in sixth and seventh spots respectively.

Earlier in competition 2 Turkish riding giant Omer Karaevli teamed up with Cortani to seal the top spot in the 19-horse contest.

Cortani clocked a time of 21.71 seconds as Karaevli picked up the top prize of QR 30525.

Saudi Arabia’s Alsharbatly produced an impressive flawless routine with Little Pezi to win the second spot. Little Pezi clocked a time of 22.57 seconds in the 145cm class.

Alsharbatly won QR 24420 for his efforts.

Garlic VH Kapelhof - ridden by Saudi rider Ramzy Hamad Al Duhami - and Valuta S - who had Khaled Abdulaziz Al Eid in the saddle - completed the top five riders in the two-phased 145cm class. Ouaddar finished third-best with Cordano Sitte Z who clocked a time of 22.78 seconds. Ouaddar won the prize of QR 18315.

In competition 1 Saudi Arabia’s Khaled Almobty yesterday produced a neat routine with Zyphern 4 to win the top prize of QR 10000.

Zyphern 4 clocked a time of 29.99 seconds in the 125cm competition.

Qatari rider Hamed Nasser Al Qadi guided S I E Lonnie to second place in the 23-entry field. S I E Lonnie clocked a time of 30.33 seconds as Al Qadi picked up QR 8000.

In third place was Nasser Albagami of Saudi Arabia. Albagami was astride WKD Lexington.

Today’s action will continue with three competitions with the first one starting at 1:30pm. The Peninsula
