Syrian twins' condition is stable


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The condition of Syrian twins Toqa and Yaqeen is stable following the successful separation operation at King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital at King Abdulaziz Medical City in the National Guard Ministry on 5 Jumada I 1437 AH, and they are under surveillance in the intensive care unit for children.

Neurosurgery Consultant at King Abdulaziz Medical City and the head of the medical and surgical team of separating the Syrian Twins Dr. Ahmed Alferayan said, "Toqa and Yaqeen are recovering; the artificial respiration device was removed from them; they are naturally breathing and that they can move and talk."

He added that the twins began on the seventh day of the operation to identify their parents after the separation operation which lasted 14 hours and conducted in six very precise and complex stages of conjoining in the head's area.
