Oman- Sultanate to take part in Vilnius book fair today

Oman represented by the Ministry of Information will take part in the International Vilnius Book Fair which begins on Thursday. The four-day book fair will be inaugurated by Dalia Grybauskaite President of Lithuania.

Oman is the only Arab country participating in the book fair. Its pavilion will showcase several cultural literary economic and tourism related publications in Arabic and English. It will also have on display 12 books published by the Ministry of Information.

In addition a crafts section to showcase traditional handicrafts and clothes of Oman will also be set up at the pavilion. Photos depicting Oman's landscape will also be on display. Such events are aimed at helping Oman highlight its achievements in Lithuania since the Blessed Renaissance and strengthen bilateral relations.

Focused on readers books and cultural events the fair is the biggest and most important one in the Baltic countries. This year the fair will be discussing the most popular books and the most attractive characters among readers.
