New memoir charts path to finding spiritual self. Love and Compassion is My Religion tells the story of Jane Zarse's path to accepting God.

Amazon the largest online shopping network is pleased to announce they have added a new book to their shopping platform by Jane Zarse. The book is titled Love and Compassion: Is My Religion A Beginner's Book into Spirituality. It is a new memoir that follows the author through her life.

Jane Zarse seemed like she had everything from a privileged childhood to a high-powered career but there was always a dark side.

She battled an eating disorder and drank far too much after she graduated from Boston University. Her work as an actress and then a trader on the Chicago Options Exchange didn't fulfill her and she lacked compassion for others.

It all came to a head after her mother died from a heart attack and Zarse divorced her husband. She spiraled downward in the grip of alcoholism and self-destructive behavior destroying the image of a perfect life filled with status power and financial stability.

In her memoir “Love and Compassion Is My Religion: A Beginner's Book into Spirituality” Zarse recounts her path to the top then to rock bottom and finally to peace acceptance and an understanding of God's love. It explores how her lack of compassion and empathy for others was a symptom of her not loving herself and how spirituality taught her to do so.

The book recounts Zarse's discovery of alcohol as a teenager where she seemed to be the image of a perfect suburban student driving a brand new Audi to the prestigious academy she attended and her path through career success. It also examines how her life fell apart before she found Alcoholics Anonymous had a spiritual awakening and with the help of God's love climbed back up from rock bottom.

“The book is a guide to finding your spiritual self—no matter how much you've sinned or lost yourself” a spokesperson from Zarse's publisher said. “It's a guide to how to find your way back. Zarse using her own excesses as an example shows how it can be done. After reading her heartfelt memoir readers will be poised and ready to change their own life through the world's strongest source of unconventional love; that of their Creator.”
