(MENAFN- Morocco World News) A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck early Monday off the coast of the cities of Al Hoceima andand Nador the National Geophysics Institute (CNRST) said according to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).

The quake occurred at 3h46 (GMT) the source added.

Two other quakes of magnitude 4.4 and 3.9 were reported in the same region at 4:14 and 6:43 am local time.No casualties or human damage were reported.

The tremor comes less than a month after a series of earthquakes shook the same region last month. An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 degrees on the Richter scale was recorded in the early hours of Monday off January 25 in Nador and Al Hoceima.
