Kuwait- Min. Essa stresses keenness on using technology


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Bader Al-Essa said the ministry is keen on using technology instead of paper in the coming period.The minister made the statement on Monday to reporters following the inauguration of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone's building adding that electronic work facilitates many measures and achieves quickly many missions.He expressed his joy over the scientific project submitted by a female student at the competition of "Ibtikar Al-Kuwait" noting that the contest helped students to use scientific thinking and innovation.The minister earlier said that the building was established through cooperation between the ministry and the academic faculty including contributions from students in intermediate and high schools.Meanwhile Faisal Al-Maqseed assistant undersecretary for educational activities and development said the building is the Ministry's response to stepped-up efficiency standards to serve students and staff referring to huge efforts exerted to set up the project.Mansour Al-Daihani director general of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone stressed the need to develop departments in schools to cope with huge changes in all fields of life.He said that Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone offers services to about 35544 male and female students at 106 schools and nurseries adding that all efforts exerted are in line with the general policy of developing education.
