UAE- ADM holds unique park awareness events in Mohammed bin Zayed City

ABU DHABI 22nd February 2016 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has held a unique park awareness event in Mohammed bin Zayed City concurrent with the opening of new parks.

The event was held to showcase the municipal system's vision and plans to broaden the scope of recreational facilities add more green areas and construct world-class parks to serve the community. The municipality's participation in the event also reflects the support accorded by the municipal system to activities and programmes aimed at ensuring the best public health standards for all community members.

The innovative park features sports and recreational equipment and multi-purpose playgrounds open for all park visitors from Mohammed bin Zayed City its suburbs and surrounding areas.

The event was organised in cooperation with the General HQ of Abu Dhabi Police represented by the Community Police Dar Al Shifa Hospital and Gold's Gym Club. A mixture of awareness-raising and sports programmes as well as health guidelines were delivered in a bid to achieve a better healthier life and educate participants and visitors about protecting parks and public realms.

The event also included several spots where Abu Dhabi City Municipality conducted awareness and educational events in addition to other awareness-raising and health advisory events delivered by Dar Al Shifa Hospital and sports events from Gold's Gym Club. There was also a quiz run by Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Community Police with valuable prizes on offer to participants to raise their health awareness.

The municipality calls on the community to actively participate in all municipal events aimed at leveraging community partnership improving public health discussing community-related issues and raising health and environmental awareness in order to ensure a healthy life on a par with the highest international standards of the health and safety industry.
