UAE- Al Zeyoudi discusses cooperation with Russian Minister of Agriculture

DUBAI 22nd February 2016 (WAM) -- Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi Minister of Climate Change and Environment has met with Alexander Tkachev Russia's Minister of Agriculture and his accompanying delegation and discussed means of enhancing cooperation relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Russia in the field of agriculture food and livestock.

During the meeting which was held at the Ministry in Dubai Dr. Al-Zeyoudi emphasised the importance of exchanging visits between experts and specialists officials in the field of climate change and the environment between the two countries in addition to the need to strengthen mutual participation in related exhibitions and conferences.

For his part the Russian Minister lauded the efforts of the UAE and its activities in the import export and re-export of food products praising the actions being taken by the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment towards achieving security and food safety.

He said "The participation of specialised Russian companies in the food sector at the Gulfood 2016 Show came to achieve our goals in exports to the UAE and the Arabian Gulf as well as to Middle East surrounding countries."

Mr. Tkachev said that the participation in the Golfood Show 2016 will open new horizons for Russian companies to be able to support multilateral trade of agricultural products and food and establish contacts of mutual benefit with business partners in addition to strengthen trade and cooperative relations with existing customers.
