Chief executive of Aureus Mining (LON:AUE TSX:AUE) David Reading tells Proactive that 'everything is moving positively in the right direction' at the firm's New Liberty operation in Liberia following a few 'teething problems' at the site in January.

Gold recoveries have improved so much since then that output in the last month a half is around two thirds of the level achieved in the entire second half of 2015.

Since the start of the year the company has produced 11001 ounces of gold compared with 17172 in the six months prior to this and annual production figures 'should be in the range of 110000-120000 ouncesin the 9000 to 10000 ounces per month range' Reading adds.
