Kuwait disabled athletes train in UAE for upcoming events

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's disabled athletics team will head to Al-Ain city in the UAE on Monday for a training camp in preparation for the 6th Sharjah International Open Athletics Meeting and the 8th Fazza IPC Athletics Championships to be held from March 12-21.The team includes 16 male and female athletes competing in shot put discus throw javelin throw and wheelchair racing head of the team and Chairman of the Board of Kuwait's Disabled Sport Club Shafi Al-Hajry told KUNA.The club chose Al-Ain to hold the two-week camp for its advanced training facilities and stadiums said Al-Hajry adding that the Kuwaiti disabled team has prominent international achievements in different sports.(end) fsa.ag
