(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ankara February 21 (QNA) - The Turkish government announced a "comprehensive" action plan to beef up security in the wake of the deadly bombing attack that rocked the capital Ankara on February 17 and left 28 people dead.
In a statement following his visit to Ankara Governor's Office on Saturday Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said his government would introduce a new security concept specially to capital Ankara.
"Aside from security measures across Turkey a new and special security mechanism and an action plan that accounts for Ankara's unique properties will be prepared" he said.
He added the plan would be presented to the interior minister who will study it and then refer it to him for final approval.
Earlier Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to broaden fight against terrorist groups inside and outside Turkey.
"Turkey will use its right to expand its rules of engagement beyond (responding to) actual attacks against it and to encompass all terror threats" Erdogan said at a UNESCO meeting in Istanbul. (QNA)
