Apple's IPhone sales in Japan fall 10.6pct over 2015

(MENAFN) Apple's iPhones' deliveries to Japan deteriorated 10.6 percent through last year compared to 2014, with a total of 14.73 million units, based on reports.

Accordingly, the plunge which marked the 1st ever decline in Japan was driven by weak sales of the tech giant's latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus versions of its handsets.

The California-based behemoth has given some way to local Sony and Sharp who both have gained ground, although it stays the market leader for smartphone sales in Japan.

The world's largest IT Company by revenue saw its market share reduced to 41.2pct from 43.1pct in 2014, whereas Samsung's android smartphones stake went up.
