Ooredoo Kuwait grows its payment, despite Q4 loss


(MENAFN) Mobile operator Ooredoo Kuwait increased its dividend for 2015 despite falling to a fourth-quarter net loss, continuing a lengthy earnings slump.

Furthermore, the subsidiary of Qatar's Ooredoo competes with Zain and Saudi Telecom Viva, which registered higher earnings in Q3 but reported falling profits.

However, it made a net loss of USD 4.7mn in the three months to Dec.31, according to Reuters calculating in lieu of a quarterly breakdown.

In addition, Ooredoo which also has operations in Algeria, Tunisia, the Maldives and the Palestinian Territories proclaimed paying an annual cash dividend.
