(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Jaidah Automotive, the exclusive dealer of Chevrolet in Qatar, has hosted an afternoon of festivities in support of Discover America - USA Week Qatar, an inaugural celebration of American culture, commerce, and friendship in Qatar.
The American Chamber of Commerce Qatar, in partnership with the US Embassy, launched "Discover America € Qatar", which has become an annual event.
To honour the annual week of celebrations, which kicked off on February 15 and will run until February 22, Jaidah Automotive hosted "Discover America with Chevrolet" at the Qatar Racing Club.
The event was graced by US ambassador Dana Shell Smith, Jaidah Automotive director Khalid Samir, and several senior management officials from Jaidah Automotive and Qatar Racing Club.
Samir said: "Today gives us the opportunity to come together with some of our most esteemed partners to support the unwavering commitment to enrich culture in a dynamic community. As the sole distributor of Chevrolet in the country, we are proud to represent a brand that reflects innovation and success in America."
Guests attended with their families to enjoy an array of activities that took place throughout the day, including live music, dance performances, test drives on Chevrolet carlines, as well as thrilling drift experiences.
Qatar Racing Club also showcased the "American spirit," with the US flag draped as decoration while guests enjoyed heartwarming American cuisine. Food vendors included Burgery, Magnolia, California Tortilla, and Coco-Cola.
