Hyundai applies aggressive strategy to lead China's market


(MENAFN) In order to achieve the ultimate goal of becoming the best car brand in the world's largest automobile market, Hyundai Motor Company, the South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer assured recently that it will work hard upgrade its image in China.

Korea's largest carmaker had its China sales decline 5.1 percent to 1,062,826 units over the previous year driven by the strengthened domestic currency and intensified competition, therefore it's seeking all available opportunities to regain its crucial position in the market.

The automaker wants to start by constructing a new factory in the world's 2nd largest economy, plus it will take more aggressive attitude during this year to make its anticipated flagship EG900 luxury sedan and the Sonata hybrid sedan a reality and launch it in China.

"We are making efforts to prepare for a future Chinese market through building a new factory there; therefore we'll need your help to become the best car brand in China," stated the company's Vice Chairman in a meeting with a Chinese dealership in Seoul.
