Foreign students take part in 'Our Marathon'

A group of international students of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University participated in 'Our Marathon' on January 31.

This was a different opportunity especially for foreign students from Iran Iraq Bahrain and Africa to participate in such a big event. The students expressed their satisfaction towards organisation of the event by the Director of ISC Prof Dr Asmita Wele.

"We really enjoyed the marathon running for 5kms for a cause like breast cancer. It was a different experience for me and my friends coming from Iran" said Behzad Bagheh. "We could hear from Indian film star Kajol the importance of health of a women. It was a great opportunity to participate in the marathon and I will take this message back to my country" said Libna Rashid Saleh.

The programme was also coordinated by Dr Kirti Mahajan director students' welfare Dr Rajaram Zirange and Dr Borhade of BVDU's Y. M. College along with the Director ISC Prof Dr Asmita Wele. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shivajirao Kadam and Secretary Dr Vishwajeet Kadam expressed their pleasure and congratulated the successful students.
