Kuwaiti Consul General attends first economic conf. in Basra

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT Feb 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Consul General in Iraq's Basra Province Yousef Ashour Al-Sabbagh on Saturday attended an economic conference held in the province.Kuwait's presence in the conference on Basr's economy aims to make use of Kuwaiti experiences in investment in human resources and ways to improve Basra's economy Al-Sabbagh said in a statement received by KUNA.He added that he had participated in the conference upon an invitation from Basra legislative council.The conference attracted representatives from several countries Iraqi directors of departments and economists as well as businessmen and civil society he pointed out For his part Sabah Al Bazooni Head of the Provincial Council stressed the vital goal of this conference is to communicate with neighboring countries especially Kuwait which ranks among leading countries in reconstruction and building in the region.He lauded the participation of the Kuwaiti consulate in the conference to take advantage of Kuwaiti proposals and views.
