US Boeing gets USD 440mn from Papua carrier

(MENAFN) US aircraft producer had received a USD 440mn deal with Papua New Guinea's flag carrier Air for four 737 MAX 8 planes.

Moreover, the airline recently has a local service, as well as flights to Australia, Singapore, Fiji, the Philippines and others.

Boeing's 737 aircraft competes with European rival Airbus' A320 series in the single-aisle market where the planes favored for short routes.

Airbus proclaimed it had won USD 1.85bn deal for the trade of six A350-9-s by Philippine Airlines (PAL), the flag carrier of Asia's fastest economies.
