Qatar- Foreign Minister meets Abu Dhabi crown prince


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan met Qatar's Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani in Abu Dhabi yesterday.
Talks dealt with relations between Qatar and the UAE and ways of enhancing them, besides issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan along with UAE Deputy National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

Advisory Council speaker meets UK parliament team
HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi met a delegation from the British parliament yesterday.
The meeting discussed the relations between the Advisory Council and the British Parliament, and means of enhancing them.
The meeting was attended by HE the Advisory Council Deputy Speaker Issa bin Rabia al-Kuwari, HE the Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak al-Khayareen, two observers of the Advisory Council and several members.
The meeting was also attended by Qatar's ambassador to the United Kingdom Yousef bin Ali al-Khater and the British ambassador to Qatar Ajay Sharma.

Ministry team to devise transport sector policy
The Ministry of Transport and Communications has assigned a team to formulate a long-term policy and strategy for the transport sector in Qatar.
The policy will be formulated in consultation with relevant parties, the Ministry said in a statement yesterday. The statement noted that the ministry is conducting a telephone survey in an effort to understand the preferences of Qatari citizens and residents on various means of transport services. The Ministry urged citizens and residents to participate in the survey in order to help it develop high-quality transport services and meet the needs of all the inhabitants of the country.

Mercedes-Benz S Coupe 2015 models recalled
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, has announced the recall of Mercedes-Benz S Coupe 2015 models. The recall is to replace screws/bolts of the left and right catalytic converter bracket and to check the front left and right seat belts and swap them if necessary. The Ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicles' defects and repair them.
