Qatar- Erdogan Vows not to Allow New Kurdish Cs


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ankara February 17 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday vowed Turkey would not allow the creation of new camps for the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the border triangle with Iraq and Iran northern Syria."We will not allow a new Qandil on our southern border" with Syria Erdogan said in a televised speech in Ankara referring to the mountain in northern Iraq which for years has been stronghold of PKK militants.

Erdogan repeats his call to the United States to choose between Turkey and the YPG militia which Washington has been backing with airstrikes as the Kurds fight Islamic State.

Erdogan also lashes out at the links between the YPG and the armed PKK fighting in Turkey.(QNA)
