Sharakah supported Yemeni restaurant Zurbian officially opens in Muscat

Yemeni restaurant Zurbian opened in Muscat under the patronage of Khalifa bin Saeed al Abri CEO of Riyada recently.

The opening ceremony was attended by officials from SME development organisations and other establishments stated a press release.

The restaurant that started with the support of Sharakah has the capacity to accommodate up to 100 guests. It also has four private rooms for families. Owned by 26 year old Younis al Harrasi the restaurant promises to offer the best authentic Zurbian (slow-cooked mandi rice with meat topped with cashew and fried onions).

At the inauguration ceremony Harrasi said 'Our hard work has finally paid off as we officially open doors to our guests. 'We had already done its soft launch a month ago. The turnout has been overwhelming since then.'

Speaking about Sharakah's support Harrasi said 'Sharakah has been very supportive throughout and we are sure that we will benefit a great deal from their support.' Abri said that since the SME Symposium at Seih al Shamikhat a number of Omanis are launching their own business. 'We are delighted to be here to witness the beginning of yet another SME managed by a young Omani. We wish them all the success in their upcoming exciting journey.'

Halima al Riyami from Sharakah said "We are proud to see youth endeavouring to create jobs for themselves and others. 'A majority of businesses supported recently are in the food and beverages sector. This shows that there is a slight change in the way of living and there is demand in the market.'
