Emir and French President hold talks in Paris

Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with French President Francois Hollande at the Elysee Palace in Paris yesterday. They discussed developments in the Middle East especially the Syrian conflict.

Paris: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and French President Francois Hollande yesterday discussed in Paris developments in the Middle East especially the war in Syria and efforts to stop the bloodshed and the delivery of humanitarian aid to besieged Syrian cities.

Both sides called for increased support for international efforts to deter the regime and its cronies from committing more crimes holding the Syrian regime responsible for the ongoing devastation and destruction.

They also reminded the international community of its responsibility towards these crimes protection of civilians and the importance of holding those responsible accountable.

The Emir and the President also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest at the regional and international levels .

The meeting at the Elysee Palace also dealt with relations between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields.

The Emir’s delegation and French ministers and officials were present.QNA
