Turkey reinforces its borders with Syria with 15000 troops


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Turkish army has mobilized 15000 soldiers on the Turkish-Syrian border in order to enhance security and control in that area Turkish news reports said on Wednesday.Ihlas news agency quoted military sources as saying that the strengthening of the Turkish military build-up coincides with the increase in the Russian bombardment and the advancement of the armed people's protection units the armed wing of the Democratic Union Party of Syria of the PKK which is outlawd in Turkey and because of the likelihood of eruption of collective waves of displacement.The sources pointed out that the armed forces will be deployed along the border for preventing the infiltration of terrorist elements into Turkey stressing that troops sent to the border will contribute to building a safe area on the border and counter any attack by the subsidiary units of terrorist elements.(end).ta.tg
