AIPU calls for a stand against Israeli violations on Palestinians

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN Feb 17 (KUNA) -- The Executive Committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) called Wednesday on all international parliaments to bear responsibility and condemn the daily abuses aggression and assassinations against the Palestinian people which are considered violations of international law and charters.The call was made through a final statement issued by the committee at the conclusion of its 18th session with the participation of 13 Arab parliaments.The statement also noted the importance of the Palestinian issue as a central issue to the Arab world and AIPU members calling for sustaining such efforts in all upcoming parliament sessions regionally and internationally.The committee members also called for maintaining support to the Palestinian people and strongly rejecting all punitive measures that have been taking place against them in Jerusalem.The committee also expressed support to efforts exerted by the Palestinian leadership in the international arena.
