(MENAFN) Jordan's Ministers confirmed to fund the Desert Road reconstruction and rehabilitation project which will be applied at a cost of almost USD 105mn.
Furthermore, the project will be financed by a Saudi Development Fund, while the cabinet had approved a USD 65mn deal for the project joining Jordan and KSA.
The project which is aimed to assimilate the Desert Highway as one of Jordan's key roads and a global land route is predicted to be finished in 2016 and 2017.
Accordingly, Minister of Public Works had finished the important studies and rehabilitates the Desert Road and would send the tenders to the Saudi fund.
