Qatar- Expat faces deportation for selling alcohol


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Doha Misdemeanour Court has sentenced a Sri Lankan man to a month in jail followed by deportation for selling alcoholic beverages, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.

The case started with a woman complaining that the man used to sell such drinks in her area. Police investigations confirmed the complaint and the identity of the man was determined based on the number plate of his vehicle.

The maid at the house of the complainant told her that the defendant used to come to the house to sell alcohol to a relative living with them. Eventually, police arrest the defendant and court established his guilt.
