Chinese Ambassador meets students of UAE Ambassadors Youth Programme

ABU DHABI 16th February 2016 (WAM)--Chang Hua Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the UAE has met students participating in the UAE Youth Ambassadors Progarmme who have visited a number of cities economic and scientific institutions in China.
The Chinese envoy met the students during a banquet dinner he hosted at his residence in the capital Abu Dhabi in honour of the students of the programme.
In his speech the ambassador welcomed them praising the bilateral relations and close cooperation between the UAE and China. The Chinese envoy expressed his appreciation for the UAE's leadership government and people.
He exchanged cordial talks with the students and heard their accounts about China and the most important regions and areas they have visited.
The students expressed their happiness about their participation in this programme which is useful in scientific practical and cultural aspects. They added that the programme strengthens communication with diverse cultures and civilisations and contributes access to advanced industries and new technologies. The students added that the programme also develops intellectual capacity scientific skills and builds essential experiences and practices for students of science.
They emphasised that the programme which achieves its scientific objective also avails an opportunity to introduce to other peoples the culture and identity of the UAE and its progress. These they said contributed to upgrading the relations of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the UAE and China.
The UAE Youth Ambassadors Programme was launched in 2012 under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in order to develop and prepare young people to lead partnerships with strategically important countries.
The programme seeks to rehabilitate young citizens and prepare them to be capable to assume prominent positions in strategic sectors of strategic importance and strengthen the links between the UAE and the countries of strategic importance.
It has so far allowed successive groups of students to visit South Korea Germany and China to acquire the language culture and learn about the public and private sectors in those countries.
